One of the places in Waikiki that can be found for "less expensive" meals is at the Seaside Bar and Grill located on the corners of Seaside and Kuhio Ave. They always have specials for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! The breakfast special is around $2.99, and the menu has a good assortment of breakfast items. Good food, good prices - You cannot go wrong at this restaurant!
You can also go to the Food Pantry that is also located on Kuhio Ave., or any of the various ABC stores, where they have sandwiches, snacks, anything you want!
Not everything in Hawaii is expensive. If that was the case, there wouldn't be any tourists going there. So, relax enjoy your vacation!!
You can eat your sandwiches, snacks while sitting at a picnic table "people watching."
More ideas for eats & drinks in Waikiki..." World Famous North Shore - Blue Water Shrimp & Seafood Co." between Launiu and Kaiolu on Kuhio. $10.95 for a shrimp dinner. Listen for the generator & look for the red carpet running in over a gravel lot from the sidewalk. Picnic table seating or to-go.
Barefoot Bar at Hale Koa Hotel offers tropical drinks for $5.95! Great service, setting, with stunning sunset view. Live music.
Irifune, 563 Kapahulu Ave.
Ono Hawaiian Foods, 726 Kapahulu Ave.
Fatty's Chinese restaurant, Kuhio at the side of the Miramar Hotel, has really good food at great prices. Not much seating space, but can do take out and either bring it back to your room or eat at the chairs outside the restaurant. Lunch specials start at $4.50. and the food is good.
