I'm British but have lived in France for the past 10 years with my wife and two teenage sons. As a software company executive, based in London, Paris, San Francisco and Vancouver, I spent 10 years travelling the world on business, on average over 200 hotel nights a year. Since 2000, I have been running a consulting business from the south west of France serving clients in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. I still spend around 100 hotel nights a year on business and around another 20 a year holidaying with my family. As you can probably guess, Trip Advisor is a very valuable tool for me and, while I don't always have time to review every hotel I stay in, and very often stay in the same hotels time after time so don't review them again unless something has changed, I try to keep my reviews as honest and balanced as I would like others to. We all have different tastes and needs so I just tell it as I see it from my point of view and everybody can put their own filters on that.
