I've been to 30 countries or so, speak Dutch, French and Arabic with reasonable fluency, German and Spanish less so, and American Sign Language much less so! Lived in Munich, Frankfurt, Deventer, Diego Garcia, Riyadh, Cairo, Greenville (SC), Columbia, San Francisco, Pacific Grove. I do 16th,17th and 18th century re-enacting in my spare time and volunteer on the historic weapons program at the Castillo San Marcos as well as all the pirate raids in St. Augustine, my current home. I love to tell people about St. Augustine and it's rich history. I run the Pirate Haus Inn (www.piratehaus.com) and try not to run afoul of Trip Advisor's policies on self promotion!! ;-) My inn is definitely not for everybody, just fun people who are young at heart!! If I could make a decent living at it, I'd work at the Visitor's Center in St. Augustine.
