I'm a 28 year old who likes interesting, active, cultural holidays. I like a hotel to be clean and more importantly value for money. Like everyone I enjoy luxury, but I also like more affordable accomodation to ensure I can get a number of short breaks in each year rather than one really expensive one. My review rates tend to be based on the value for money aspect. For example if I was staying in a 1-star hotel I would not expect to have enourmous rooms with luxurious toiletries, but if it was clean, friendly helpful staff and comfortable beds and had a price tag to reflect this then I would rate it 5 if it deserved it. In the same way if I was staying at a 5 star hotel I would expect large rooms in excellent decorative order with nice furnishing and a service to match etc. Although I am relatively young I am not into the clubbing/heavy drinking and noisey places. I enjoy quieter places where I can sample another culture therefore a good meal will refer to local cuisine and not to an attempt at western food! - I always find it hard to decide what a person is looking for when they have visited and reviewed a location so I hope this helps you understand how I am judging hotels.
